Our History

Following graduation in 1907 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, P. T. “Pete” Bradley of Courtland, Virginia, took a position with the General Electric Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1922, he started his own firm, the P. T. Bradley Company, in Philadelphia to sell electrical products as a commissioned representative.

As business grew, the company opened a branch office in Washington, D.C. Seven years later, the company was incorporated as Bradley Company, Inc. 1955, the Bradley Company opened a branch office in Baltimore, Maryland. Four years later, another office was opened in Richmond, Virginia.

Creation of Bradley Electro Sales Corp

Rebranded as Bradley Electro Sales Corp. in 1961 to reflect an evolving range of manufacturers represented, the company moved its primary offices from Washington, D.C., to Silver Spring, Maryland, and, in 1980, from there to Columbia, Maryland.

Today, the company is headquartered in North Chesterfield, Virginia, with a branch office in Chester, Maryland.

True to its heritage, Bradley Electro Sales Corp continues as a commissioned seller of electrical products to the electrical utility industry, government agencies, electrical distributors, general industry, and electrical contractors.
